Keeping The Focus As We Move Ahead

Need #1 – Monthly Support

We are off to a great start—impacting lives and families for Christ, and especially encouraging critical family relationships in the process. One thing we have realized during this year is need for a financial strategy that will allow us to stay focused on the vision for the Paradise Trail Lodge, rather than be controlled by a drive to generate rental income. Like any property, the lodge carries with it a set of relatively fixed expenses. In order to make Paradise Trail Lodge affordable for the activities that we want most to promote—those at the center of our vision—we believe that we have to keep the costs as reasonable as possible; otherwise, we would be excluding many of the very people we desire to reach.

Our strategy for addressing this need is very simple: Paradise Trail Lodge is a non-profit organization. We would like to partner with men and women who share the vision to provide approximately $1000 in total monthly ministry support. This would allow us to continue to offer use of the lodge to the ministries at the heart of our vision, at an affordable price. Financial giving in support of Paradise Trail Lodge would, in effect, provide scholarship funding so that the boys and girls, men and women, who we want to reach will be able to participate in events at a reasonable cost (we have found that for many people, cost is a significant factor in the choice of whether or not to participate in ministry activities).

Would you consider joining us in providing support for this ministry? The math is simple: if ten supporters give $100/month we would meet our goal. Some might give more, some less. You can give monthly, or commit to a yearly gift. But the point is, we believe in what God is calling us to do through Paradise Trail Lodge, and we want to invest in the lives that will be impacted through this ministry (check out Jesus’ story in Luke 16:1-15).

Need #2 – Lodge Improvements

A number of improvements are planned for this 90 year old historic lodge to make it even more appealing. These include a remodel of the bathrooms and kitchen, new carpet, and interior and exterior painting, to name a few. Some of these projects are already in process.
